A newly observed exoplanet, HAT-P-30. This is not a very good observation because I began taking exposures too late and the night was very poor, with high clouds.
The planetary system, in which only this planet is known, surrounds an F-type star with a radius 1.33 times our Sun's. The planet has a radius equivalent to 1.3 times Jupiter's and completes an orbit in just 2.81 days, placing it extremely close to its star. It is about 625 light-years away.
