Observation of the transit of exoplanet WASP-80 b. This exoplanet is one of the most important discovered to date because its transit produces a very deep change in brightness, about 3%. This happens because the planet is a Jupiter-like gas giant orbiting a very small star, half the size of our Sun, in just over 3 Earth days.
The eclipse is so pronounced that it permits spectrographic analysis of the planet's atmosphere. This planetary system is about 200 light-years away.
